Angelina Jolin Biography

Angelina Jolin NYC is my blog where I will write about travel, fashion, culture, parties, food and my favorite things.

I was born in Stockholm, Sweden. My father, Einar, was a painter and pupil of Matisse in Paris 1907. He brought modern art to Sweden!

He married my mother, classical concert singer Tatiana Angelini, born countess Scheremetiew, and they had me late in their lives.

My family and I spent our summers in Axel Munthes Villa San Michele in Capri.

I spoke French before anything, and danced my school years away at the Royal Swedish Opera Ballet School. Later, I moved to Paris where I worked as a model and studied culinary arts at Cordon Bleu.

I started working as a fashion stylist for ELLE, Vogue, GQ, Maxim and Photo ecc.

Later, I moved to New York City with my mother where she remarried CBS anchorman Charles Collingwood.

Now I’m permanently based in NYC and have been for many years. I’m the contributing editor for Swedish ELLE magazine, ELLE Food and Wine, ELLE Décor, ELLE Lyx and CAFÉ magazine.

I’ve also worked as a creative producer for Scandinavia’s Next Topmodel on TV3 in Scandinavia.

My work takes me all over the world and I stay at the most beautiful and exclusive spots.
My favorite spots in the world (and my three favourite islands) are Capri, St Barths and Gotland.
