STARRING THE SWEDISH DANCE AND MUSICAL SENSATIONS
RENNIE MIRRO & KARL DYALL
A ONE NIGHT EXCLUSIVE AT THE APOLLO THEATER, troche
THURSDAY, ask NOV 10 AT 8 PM
After 200 sold out houses in Stockholm and a three months tour throughout Sweden, advice From Sammy with Love visits New York at the Apollo Theater for a one night exclusive. The show features the Swedish stage sensations Rennie Mirro and Karl Dyall in an entertaining and acutely keen performance.
For long Rennie and Karl dreamed of creating the intriguing story of Sammy Davis Jr and his era. Both children of black musicians/white mothers, referred to in Sweden as ”jazz babies”, there are mirrored resemblances between their lives and the life of and era of Sammy Davis Jr. Through acting, singing and dancing the show portrays not only the sweet taste of success but also exclusion, prejudice and their struggle for identity and recognition due to their skin color. A struggle to the top no matter race nor culture – some of the experiences they share with Sammy Davis Junior.
The show is performed in English
